An Interactive Historical Atlas

About This Atlas

"The world was created for my sake." — Talmud Sanhedrin 37a

The Rebbe's Global Reach is an interactive historical atlas documenting the worldwide spread of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's legacy — Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the seventh Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch. From a small movement rooted in 18th-century Eastern Europe, the Rebbe transformed Chabad into a global network whose presence today spans more than 100 countries.

Tanya Printings

The Tanya, authored in 1796 by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, is the foundational text of Chabad Chassidic philosophy. The Rebbe initiated a campaign to print the Tanya in every place Jews live — a physical anchor of Chassidus in cities and towns across the globe. Each printing recorded here represents a community, an era, and a deliberate act of spiritual outreach.

Shluchim — Emissaries

Beginning in the 1950s, the Rebbe began sending married couples — Shluchim — to establish permanent Chabad centers in cities and remote outposts around the world. Today there are thousands of Chabad centers on six continents, from major capitals to the most isolated Jewish communities. The Shluchim embody the Rebbe's vision of personal responsibility for the spiritual welfare of every Jew, everywhere.
